Default 2000 si in a 88 hatch civic

I have a b16a2 in my 88 hatch and i need help....i just put it in my car but the car is not wanting to start, a friend told me it is the distributor needs to be from an LS not the stock si dist. if any one can help me thanks

You used a mount kit right? You should just use a p30 ecu and run the obd 1 stuff that you already have.
What tranny are you using?

i just welded my mounts were i needed them my tranny is the 1 that came with the motor hydro. made cable by mounting cable around the back side cut a hole in the (i think) pilot arm so that it pulls insted of pushs

if you have a 88 hatch you need to use an OBD0 dist, ecu..... if your using a OBD1 dist on that motor its not going to run....

research!

were do i find a obd0 dist. i mean what types of cars carry that dist. my friend told me to get 1 from a88-92 integra do u think he's right

Wow thats a lot of smiley faces.!! You can use an 88-92 teg, or a 88-91 civic/crx dizzy if you need an obd0...but I dont know if thats what you need for sure. What harness are you using? Thats a lot of work just to put in a B16a2!! Did you get the motor for free?

wait until you get the motor running.
it'll prolly be throwing codes like crazy, lets hope not though for your sake.
people have made lists of parts necessary for the swap on here before, try searching u might turn up some results, but I think most people on here have 1st gen b16's (like myself).
