I have a 2001 honda accord that keeps blowing air filter cover off. Car has no power and back fires. Has anyone had this problem? Recently cleaned iacv which corrected idle problem. Also has new fuel pump. Any help.greatly appreciated!

 

back fire is ignition of air/fuel mixture prior to entering the combustion chamber... there has to be a throttle body issue.

 

We finally solved this problem. The fuel injectors were very dirty. Once cleaned car worked great and check engine light went off.
