Default Vibration on 2005 V6 Honda Accord 3.0 @ 40mph

Last week, I noticed vibrations coming from the front left wheel anytime my speed approaches 40mph. Had the linkages, wheel bearing checked - Ok. Yet no noticeable improvement or change. Does anyone have an Idea on what is happening????

A bad axle is a usual source for vibrations when accelerating.

2005 Honda Accord V6 is a FWD. What is being referenced as a bad axle??? Is there any possibility that engine mounts could be responsible??

The front CV axles. Even if one is bad, both are usually replaced.

Vibrations due to bad motor mount are usually more pronounced at idle and or take off. So, your issue is probably not due to the motor mounts.

Out of balance wheel? Could be dirt or snow buildup, either that or a bad tire. If your tie rods and suspension components are ok then the only other thing would be the cv's as people have said.

Thanks for the information. I believe changing the CV might suffice due to the mileage of the car

Hello guys,

I am in pretty need of help now. I just change out the CV's as advised to resolve this reported vibration issue as it only continued to affect the vehicle performance.

The job was completed successfully, the complete drive shaft and bearings assy were replaced.

However, we test drove the car. The vibrations were gone but something else happened. I started having transmission shocks. Car continue to have difficulty changing gears. At first, it was between gear 2 to gear 3, but it got worse gradually and transferred to all gear change intervals except gear 1.

Now, when you engage the car to d, it hesitates for about 5s before trying to move, reverse is even worse. Luckily for now, no check engine light yet.

I took the car for a scan. Got DTC codes; P0747 and P0752. I have checked the tranny fluid level, it is gauged. I just changed the tranny fluid 4 months ago, so I believe the quality of the fluid should still be ok.

I am thinking it could be dirt in the tranny, but I don't have the slimmest idea what I can do to get my ride back on the road. Please help me out!!!!!
