I just need to release any pressure so I don't end up with fluid everywhere (or in my eyes) when I either take apart the modulator, or disconnect the lines. I've been spraying the bleeder bolt with penetrating oil but its stuck solid.

Any issue with loosening the lines with a rag over them? Any other way to get the pressure out? Will it leak down on its own after awhile?

If you can get your hands on kroil, that's thebest penetrating oil made. Not usually for sale to public. Hit it with kroil, it'll come loose.

Only problem with breaking lines, the lines may be lower than bleeder, aur may not be forced out.

 

Get on it with a 6 point deep socket and remember lefty loosey.
