Hi There,
My CEL came on in my 06 Honda Accord EX. (base model, 2.4L)
I have an innova 3100f CanOBD2 scanner that I am trying to use to read it. However the scan tool will not read the code. Just gives an error stating it cannot communicate with the ECM.
Is this possibly the wrong scan tool to use?
If so which one should I be using?
If somebody could help me out that would be great.

Make sure the Innova cable is firmly connected at both ends. After the cable is connected to the DLC/OBD-II port, turn ignition on; but, do not start the engine. Then see if it can communicate.
