Icon2 EM1 blower moto transistor overheating

Ok I'm pretty stumped on this. I have a EM1 and earlier in the week my heater stopped working. The car has the a/c and the power steering removed, I don't know if this matters but thought I'd throw it in. Anyways, so I replaced the blower motor and my blower motor transistor and now the blower motor automatically turns on when I turn the key if the transistor is connected and the transistor begins to overheat. The coils turn red and it begins to smoke. I don't know what to look for any advice or help would be much appreciated.

Test the blower motor high relay to the right of the glove box.
