Default passenger power window issues

Passenger window is stuck. 97 Civic Ex coupe stock D16. Passenger power window USED to go up and down from passenger switch and USED to go down but not up from master switch. Now window doesnt move at all from anywhere. Master switch driver window goes up and down. Tried changing master switch and same results. Before I order a new passenger side switch do you guys even think this is a switch issue or a wiring issue? just because I find it strange that the window doesnt even go up or down when I tryed a different master switch. I havent tried a new passenger switch Im about to order it but wanted to see if anyone else had kinda the same problem. anyone?

Carefully check for broken wires in the passenger and driver door jamb connectors.

okay so i took off my sidemolding / fender. have my door panel / insert out. i started checked the wires, all the way down from the switch and into the inner door. also ripped off the boot protector thing from the door into the frame of the car. all the wires look good, no tears no signs of wear or anything. passenger window still going sown but not up. when going down u can hear the motor but try going up and u hear nothing.

so i guess im gona order this switch since its only 14.99 and post results after i do that.

Dirt and debris on the rubber channels causes strain on the motor an motor life is decresed. Add that to the age of your ride means its probably the motor. but then again, this is my hypothesis

Either the switch or the motor. Pull a switch form a local junkyard and test it while you are in their parking lot and if doesn't work return it and pull a used window motor/regulator assembly if you can find one. Motor/regulator assembly should take around 30 minutes to replace so you could test that while you are there as well.

First buy a tube of this http://s287.photobucket.com/user/96h...edium.jpg.html from Napa auto parts and put it on all moving parts (including tracts) of the motor/regulator assembly, rubber window channels, even door seals if you want to recondition them. It's non-petroleum based synthetic grease so it will not deteriorate rubber. (may or may not be safe for masturbation...so use at your own risk.)
