Morning Honda fans!
Good morning out there, I'm here to introduce myself being new to the site, and seriously hoping I can get some feedback. I have a 95 accord lx non v-tech, picked the car up for a great price knowing it had an issue that of not starting. First thing I did was shoot some starting fluid into intake and it fired right off. I'm thinking great, fuel issue, shouldn't b too difficult, boy was I wrong in that assumption. It has proven to b completely the opposite. Obviously we're not getting fuel. So I've taken the fuel tank down tested the pump it's fine. As per looking in the manual have done all the necessary tests checking the main fuel pump relay. The 3 tests it advises to do all check out. Fuse is good. Still no power to wiring harness at the fuel pump sending unit under door in the trunk. So I did some tests per the sensors in the distributor 3 of them ohm'd out fine. The igniter I'm assuming was ok as the car started on starting fluid. Or am i wrong? Still nothing. Inside wiring of that particular dizzy was awful. Exposed wiring due to insulation crumbling off etc... Was sure that was problem, so got a used dizzy from junkyard. Seemed to b in 100% better shape than the old one. Installed it bang fuel pump started working but battery wasn't strong enough to crank engine. So I replaced battery, fuel pump stopped working again. Mind u car hasn't started traditionally yet except w starting fluid as no power to fuel pump. So again I replaced the old new dizzy w a brand new unit. Fuel pump came on one time just energizing key that was it no power to the pump. I've tried everything I know and researched and read to no avail. Can anyone please possibly point me in the right direction as what next to do? I apologize ahead of time if I'm vague in description please feel free to ask anything I may have left out. Thank anyone and everyone whose taken the time to read this book. Thanks again, looking forward to hearing any feedback.
