Can a subframe from a civic fit in my Acura el ? I know the cars are pretty similar ,any help would be great guys , dealer wants to much for a new subframe

My Acura el is a 2005 with a standard d17 engine. Would automatic be different ? And would it have to be a 4 door ?

 

The dealers won't share any info with me regarding Honda and Acura parts being compatible with each other / the same as each other , it sucks

 

Using sites like hondaautomotiveparts.com you should be able to locate every diagram for Civic parts to compare with your car. You can even compare part numbers to see if they're the same.

If you have an automatic, you'll need an automatic-based subframe.

 

Thanks man , I'll check that out now , had a automatic car lined up for $250 I was Spose to look at this week but u just saved me a bit of time by saying that lol

 

Acura El only comes in 4 DR yes the sub frame is different in regards to manual or automatic. As far as Honda Civic you will be using 2005 Honda civic EX model sub frame but make sure to confirm a manual or automatic.
