FS: '89 EF Civic Hatch. 5 Speed Man. STOCK, NO MODS. Great Condition
NOTE: Car won't be ready until April. I just ordered a new Civic Si (which is being built in the factory now) and is scheduled to arrive at the dealer at end of March.
All photos were personally taken by me. I'm a hobby photographer so I had some fun getting some great shots!
This is a listing for an extremely well maintained stock 1989 Honda Civic DX. I can almost guarantee that you will not find another in this good of condition in stock form (Mechanical/Interior/Exterior) anywhere! Price is $4000.
Highlights:
- No mods done to engine, body, or exhaust
* Only normal maintenance during lifetime
* When parts were replaced due to typical wear and tear, they were replaced with a new stock part from Honda or O'Reilly's.
- Excellent 5 speed manual shifter
* Original clutch/transmission still great!
- 33-35 MPG average in mixed driving!
*41.2 MPG highest achieved on HWY!
- Low mileage (for 25 year old car) just crossed 200,000
- Original paint on car
- Original floor mats
- Original 89 owner's manual
- Shocks recently replaced
- New alternator
- 100% functioning A/C!
*New Compressor, dryer.
*Converted to modern R-134A Freon System
- New tires
- New battery
- New distributor cap
- Valve timing recently been adjusted
- Oil has been changed every 3000 miles since day 1
- Doesn't burn oil
- Sony CDX GT520 CD receiver
*Aux input for iPod/iPhone/mp3 player
- Upgraded speakers (2 front/2 back)
- Subwoofer/Amp ready!
*Wiring is all in place, just plug and play
- "Classic Car" (25 Years old) so state inspection is much cheaper and faster!
- Clean and maintained interior
Considerations:
- While paint is great for being 25 years old, there are a few small areas with paint chips
- Few small door dings on side. Largest is on front hood from shopping cart.
- Minor oil leak.
- Small rip in back left seat (as seen in photos below)
- Original front seats (under seat covers) side bolsters are starting to deteriorate
My Father originally purchased this Civic brand-new in 1989 and passed it down to me when I got my driver's license. From day 1 this car has truly been babied for most of its life! Garaged when not in use and washed/waxed regularly, this car has had quality treatment that many other sub compact cars rarely receive. Over this car's 25 years of ownership, it has been in the care of an automotive enthusiast and experienced hobby mechanic.
I'm asking for $4000 for this car given its excellent condition.
If interested or if you have any questions, please contact me! Thanks for your time.
