Noob to the site - 93 Civic EX
So here is my current dd and project. I bought it just to get back and forth to/from work because of the gas mileage it gets. I wanted to get another dsm or something that was boosted but decided against it.
Car is the EX model, has 151k on it, however the speedometer and odometer currently work intermittently so I would have to say it has a little more miles on it then that. Car still has the stock D16Z6.
Day I bought it:


Then as I was driving to work I was about to get off the freeway at Franklin in Boise and everything shut down inside and outside the car. Made it to emerald and maple grove and then the car completely died. Had to get jump started and followed to work by Boise PD. Then had it towed home which was a problem with getting it on the tow truck because of being lowered.

I recharged the battery and had it tested. No issues. So today I pulled the alternator and had it tested 3 times due to previous owner screwing up a crap ton of wiring in the car (which I will get to later).
So I replaced the alternator today and it runs again with no power issues.
Things I have to figure out still:
- Wiring problems
- Speedometer (replaced the VSS today and fuse)
- Dash lights (replaced dimmer switch today and fuse)
Current mods that came with car:
- lowered with 3 eBay coilovers and driver side has cut stock spring
- crappy aftermarket intake that's beat to crap
- DC Sports 4-1 header
- Drag DR16 wheels
Things that car NEEDS:
- paint (previous owner apparently sprayed Rhino Lining paint) never heard of this happening and bugs the hell out of me.
- window tint
- driver seat that is not torn to hell
- New intake system
- Boost (either the 1.6 or swap to b16 and then boost that) this will be way later if it happens
- front and rear bumper that are not held on by zip ties lol
