Icon2 CKP Sensor (Crank Position Sensor)

Hi, I have a 2000 Honda Civic Si, automatic, 1.6L. I was told at the shop that I need to replace my CKP sensor, as the alternator belt has rubbed through the casing for the wires. Their price (for employees) is over $200 just for the part! Do you know of anywhere where I can get a used one that is a Honda part? And also, do you know what the crossover is for the years that will fit it??? I would appreciate any insight! Thanks in advance!

1998 Honda Civic 2 Door EX KA 5MT Oil Pump - Oil Strainer (SOHC)

Was it part number 14 that he was referencing? Because that's what would get chewed up by the alternator belt if not properly tucked away in the timing belt cover.

96-00 any d series civic will fit. It's actually the CKF sensor (crank fluctuation sensor). Can the wires not be repaired?

I am not sure if the wires can be repaired, as I haven't actually seen the damage yet. Is it safe to just repair them if the casing has just worn off? They specifically told me it was a CKP sensor, not a CKF sensor, that when the timing belt had been replaced, that it hadn't been properly clipped into place and had been worn through by the alternator belt.

They told you wrong. It's the CKF sensor.

The CKP is in the distributor. Depends on how bad the damage is for the wiring.
