Hello everyone,

I have a 99 Honda Accord, 4 Door, 4 Cyl, Automatic Transmission. Recently it has developed a jerking motion due to power loss when driving around town or cruising down the interstate. The speedometer when cruising at 70-75 mph will bounce down to some other random number until the power is returned to it, at the same time this is happening, the jerking/power loss is occurring. It almost never happens going uphill when driving by throttle or cruise control on the interstate, it is almost always flat or downhill when it is the worse. It does occasionally kick off the cruise control when it is in use. In town with the throttle being pressed and released so much it is hard to tell but seems similar to the highway as far driving goes. The maintenance light at idle and speeds dims/pulsates as well as in all gears including neutral and park. In park or neutral it rarely misses and if it misses it is very slight, not anywhere near the reaction that occurs at any speed. The Tach never bounces or deviates from the running rpm.

I just replaced the spark plugs and wires and it seemed to make the problem occur more than before the replacement. I have checked resistances on the ignition switch and it is good, it was also replaced for issues several years ago. No other sensors or parts have been replaced recently that could effect the issue. Codes that are related to the issue are misfire on cyl 1 ,2 ,3 ,4 and misfire on all cyl.

So..... I dont know if this is an ignition issue ( ICM, Ingitor, Distr Cap & Rotor) or a fuel issue with a relay or fuel pump, or a main relay issue, or a speed sensor issue, or a throttle position sensor, or a transmission issues, im just lost with this and dont want to dump $$$$$ into all of these parts just to fix a 1 item issue.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
