1995 honda prelude radiator fan problem
I recently had a mechanic put a 2.0 (originally the car had a 2.2 before I swapped it) in my 1995 Honda prelude s. now my radiator fan wont run for more than 20 sec then my car over heats bad when car has been running for awhile. It only over heats when I stop. I had the 12v relay tested and its fine. The fan will still not run long enough to cool down the motor. I have one fan disconnected in order for the one fan to run longer not sure if that's a good idea.

would that be telling me if the engine is good or bad and how does that correlate with radiator fan not working.
Thanks for the reply too.

Make sure the engine is good first.
Then you move to the next step.
Or if you want, turn the ignition to on and dont start the car. Disconnect the fan switch connector and stick a paperclip in it. See if the fans turn on. Make sure you put back the wiring the way it originally was that you screwed up before though.
Let us know if the fans both turn on.

Since the fans are running and its still overheating you need to do a compression test to see if the head gasket is not sealing properly.
