Icon2 Queries on K-swap on 5th Gen Accord

Hi everyone! been playing with the thought of a k series on a 5th gen since currently my engine (f22) needs overhaul. Search thru the forum but found no significant lead on a build except for one build (Honda Accord Engine Swap - Tech - Honda Tuning Magazine). Need your inputs. Many thanks

Do you have a 94-95 or 96-97? An F23A* swap is ridiculously easy on the 96-97 cars, and gives better power/fuel economy for a very, very low cost. Don't be fooled by the manufacturer's ratings, the F23A*'s power is WAY more than the F22's. I went from an F22B2 to an F23A1 and noticed a huge difference. I have $500 invested into my entire swap(Engine, ECU, new clutch, fluids, belts, etc), and lots of spare parts that came with my engine that I could sell. Bang for buck, it's your best bet. Making better than H-series power and torque isn't too hard to do with the correct parts, but experimenting and getting the tune down is paramount. Unless you have 8K burning a hole in your pocket and you MUST dump into into your Accord that's going to be out of commission for a while... a K-swap isn't worth it IMHO. They're great engines, but for the cost of a swap, you can get into a very nice RSX, TSX, or something that's a factory K-series car. For the cost of a K, you can do a J-series V6 swap. But that's apples vs oranges vs pears. It really all depends on what your plans are with the car.

thanks crisnick, duly noted. Though I havent really made up my mind which route to go, my 5th gen been sitting in the garage for a couple of months now so before I start rebuilding, might as well look at other options.

thanks
