I got new tires installed and alignment.

The car's brake pads weren't making a squealing noise before I came in, and now they are squealing noticeably. Do you think they stole the old pads, which were 2 months new, and replaced them with worn ones?

Really? Steal brake pads......

Pull the wheels and check the pad thickness. While the wheels are off, wash them with break cleaner - check the slide pins for free movement.

Let us know what you find.

Can't imagine anyone going to that much trouble for less used brake pads. Odds are it is just a coincidence on the timing.

This.

Brake pads are like $30 a pair.

I believe places like les schwab, jiffy lube, etc. The flatout goal is to rip you off, I had took my car to get the timing belt done, few hours later they call me... "Oh you have a major leak in your brake lines its dripping all on the lift, wanna replace it? Lol my brakes were fine before I took them in and never had any fluids left in my garage, shiet I just bled them like 4 months ago wtf? Yeah man unless you have a new *** car and its under warranty, you gotta do stuff yourself.

I believe places like that mess with stuff that they know is on its last leg (i.e your brake pads), to get you right back in. Theres proof of them doing it too. Just google it.
