I am doing a Trans for a friend of mine and he has an 01 DX Canadian model. We were planning to order the trans from jdmengine depot but I was told they have US EX trans in stock and it will work but the CEL will be on for the Torque converter lock up solenoid. Anyone have any insight to this?

 

Sounds like a possibility I'm contemplating replacing the engine on a EX 01 as well and asked a local engine seller if they sold trannies as well but mentioned how you will get a check engine light and possibly have issues. Didnt ask why since they said they dont carry them or sell them and only sell USDM rebuilt transmissions. Maybe run JDM ECU as well not sure but im in Cali so I cant do that.
