Deetz latest project- Integra this time!
I've had a few builds here over the years, and a lot of fun doing them. I've had roughly 40 Honda/Acura's over the years, and with these recent purchases it puts me with a total amount of cars and trucks at 70, lol I am a big advocate of using both oem parts, and some aftermarket ones, but only quality brands. Fortunately, i also have a lot of extra parts left over from other projects over the years.
Thought i'd start out here with a couple of very inexpensive Integra's i bought locally, and make one very good one out of the pair. I'll start the thread with both cars that need some tlc opposite of one another, and show you what i have to start with.........
1st car a 1998 GSR 145k for $800, great car, body is rough though imo, but "mint" interior, and come with stock blades with new tires mounted

2nd car was imported from Florida with 133k, cost $400 (crazy huh?) Never seen winter, no rust, not even a hint, decent body for sure...but it's an auto ls model. Interior is so so, smells of smoke a bit and kind of dirty inside, runs good though...

1/4's are mint!!

Wanted to post pics before i get a good start!

Looking forward to this! I was eyeing that Teg from Florida on kijiji today haha guess it's sold but the ad's still up on there, that's a steal!
What ever happened to your EM1 build and the rhd del sol that you picked up? Guessing you're on beyond.ca as well?

The EM1 is alive and well!! I'm actually going to use the short block from the gsr for it. The Del Sol i sold off, got double what i paid for it, a couple years ago.
As far as Honda's go, I have my old school crx still, had since 1995, the Civic SiR, think i've had since 2008, and now- the integra
Yup, i'm a Beyonder too!

Man I'm jealous haha you seem to be good at finding these bargain deals.
Yup I knew your username looked familiar off the local forum, I go by same name there as well.
I've moved on from Honda's but I'm always itching for some sort of project.. Hopefully get to another one some day..

Yeah, good to see you around. Both Honda's and Acura's are great to work on, so many options!!!! For the most part, pretty easy to work on also.
My daily drivers are a G35X and Nissan Titan, but they jusdt have a couple of bolt on's

Damn man I was eyeing that integra up for days as well, the one from Florida that is, I couldnt believe the price. Good luck with the build, nice to see atleast one local still into Hondas lol, that scene seems to be dying very fast around here.
Ha...I did the same thing. Found my 94 RS on craigslist. Made all the arrangements, and had it shipped up here to New England. Good luck with your build bro. I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Found this header I put away a couple months ago from a JDM itr swap being parted. This header was made by a high end company known as "Maxim" which did sell under its own name, but also sold this same part through JUN and Feels Twinstwincam. This is the Feels version. I still have to clean polish it up, but stole this thing for $160
-Update-
Spent some time under the hood this last weekend. Installed new plugs, valve cover hold down seals, and battery brace. Found out i will need to replace the valve cover tube seals, as three of the four seals have failed, with them being almost full of oil. Also, looks like it needs a new rad, as the current one has a leak.
Did find a decent deal on an older APC RE Works full stainless front upper strut bar $40

Last week, i had ordered front suspension components to tighten up the front end to make it like new again. New Inner and Outer tie rod ends, lower ball joints, and front sway bar bushings.

$100 for slip's? Where the hell did you find that deal haha. That's crazy especially in Alberta. Can't believe you got the Feel's header for $160 as well.
ha ha, yeah, deals everywhere....just got to look for them. Part of this build is actually to how cheap it can be done, yet still a decent build. I've done a lot of high dollar builds, but this one with a budget in mind.
Only thing you can't really find in Alberta, is cheap labor on bodywork

Small update!!
Since the B18b runs so perfectly, and the B18C will be rebuilt during my spare time throughout the year, i decided to give the B18B a little bit of love. Got new tube seals, valve cover gasket along with mounting grommets, refinished the valve cover with wrinkle paint, changed out the front brake, and last of all a new pcv valve

spent some tine cleaning under the hood, changed out the rad for a new one, and painted up the faded wiper arms to look like new.
Apon inspection, i noticed that the newer windshield installed on that integra was an actual "oem" part, crazy! I stuck a napkin under the glass to make it easier to read

Getting ready to part my gsr soon and swap over the entire minty interior over to the 2000, should come out well

Also picked up a full Greddy SP catback fairly cheap.

Sold off the oem mesh wheels for $260, bringing down my original purchase price of the car down to $140, lol. Threw on an extra set of old school Fittipaldi rims i had sitting around till later

It's been a slow go parts hunting, collecting things here and there. Today I struck gold! Found a local guy emptying out older stored parts out of his garage. Turns out I've met and bought stuff off of him before, a little bit older guy, and very well off, with two very well built show cars...a 00 itr and 01 nsx.
Anyway, he sells me two things. The original B18C5 out of the car, as it has spun a rod bearing, but it was a complete long block minus cams, cost $120 total (only 50k on it)
The other thing he let go was an ARC intake $100
Guess that's my deals of the year. I'll rebuilt the B18C to new again!
