Default Welding fabrication table

Trying to get a few ideas for making a table. I see alot of people using metal bracing and such, then the traditional steel top. I want to use wood and then lay a 4x8 sheet of steel on the top. Just wanted to see a few of yall's tables to give me some ideas. Thanks.

Go to the scrap yard first and look for medical or restaraunt tables.... Pennies on the dollar. Or.... Buy metal to make one.... Steel will rust and be dirty as ****.

Not if you take care of it.

Depends what you plan on working with for material, welding process, etc. Just google welding tables look through the images. Plenty of ideas there.

That is an awesome fab table, but most that fab out of the garage will likely not have the budget for a table like that.

I have one at work and would love to have one at the house too.

whatever table you make decide if you want one side open so you can put your legs underneath along with a tig pedal(if you tig),i've seen so many tables with the lower brace going across in the front and they are so uncomfortable, useless to keep your legs under the table, also most people use steel tops and just wipe it down with wd40 now and then.

I have a 4x8 sheet of 5/8" steel for my table. It works great, just spray it with WD40 every now and again as previously mentioned

I just ended up buying a 8x4 sheet of steel, and am going to weld legs and bracing on with industrial casters.
