I have a 00 honda civic dx, and the drivers side seat is completely compressed. I'm trying to find a used one, but it seems to be a bit of a challenge finding one in better condition than my current one. However I can find passenger seats for sale that are in good condition. Will a passenger side seat fit the drivers side? Is there any issue with this?

 

I actually just got done swapping out rails on some seats that I just bought off a guy......it'd be doable, but not recommended.

What you'll run into is that everything is flipped around. So your seatbelt won't be of any use, handle to move forward/backward is on the wrong side (not a big deal), and you're lever that leans the chair is now pressed against the center console.

also, depending on the bracket mounts, it might not even bolt in properly.
so I highly suggest just moving forward with your hunt.
