Hello all, ive been on the hunt and csnt find anything on del sol roof racks other than thule and Yakima used to make kits. Do any of you know of kits that are compatable for the del sol ? Its not really for looks. I white water kayak and its cheaper to drive the del sol

 

The DelSol doesn't exactly have the stoutest targa brackets. These tops move around a lot and are only anchored by plastic sockets. Too much to ask for strength in a roof rack IMO.

Try this option for even more accessibility and driving safety. Yeah, and I don't mean the MINI Cooper.

 

Appreciate the reply. The weight isnt major since white water boats are tiny , so a small trailer would be silly :p

 

White water yaks are small and your back window rolls down, so why not shove it in the back window and anchor the bow and stern through your passenger side grab handle and your rear tow hook?





I have a touring kayak that I used to mount to the roof of my Mercedes by way of those spongy foam pads. I'd anchor the bow/stern through my tow hooks and I zip tied a towel to the tie down straps where they contacted the body so that my paint would be okay.

 

But I gotta run shuttle man hahahha so I def need the passanger space
