Default 99-00 Civic Front end conversion - Inner Fender Liner question

I have a 1997 Civic Sedan and I plan on doing a 1999-2000 Civic Front end conversion in the near future. My current fender liners are cut because there was excessive rubbing from my current wheels. When I do the conversion, I plan on putting the stock 1999-2000 Civic Si wheels on them so I shouldn't have a rubbing issue so I was going to order new Fender Liners for both sides.

My question is should I order the Fender Liner's for a 1996-1998 Civic or 1999-2000? They have different part numbers. I know my fenders will be 99 but the liners go all the way to the back of the wheel and connects to the body (which would still be considered 1997).

Weird question I know but I just want to be 100% sure I won't have any fitment issues before I spend the money on new OEM Fender Liners.

Thanks,
Jeremy

only the sheet metal changed with the "mid-model refresh" for the '99-'00 so either fender liner would work with the frame attachment points but to be sure they work with the fenders themselves get the '99-'00 liners.

96-98 fender liners will not button up to a 99-00 front bumper. You can trim it a little but I suggest you find a way to secure it or else your tires will be eating it away. I had this issue.
