Hey I have a D16Y5 vtec engine E and I am used to the D16a8 vtec engine that kicks At 5000 but anyways I'm curious if it's safe to put a turbo on the D16Y5 engine I'm going to put in a skunk 2 intake manifold! But what other mods can I do that's safe for my engine that will also make it last but gain me HP

 

Nothing cost effective.

If you have boat loads on money to throw at it, you can basically revuild the motor into being whatever you want.

But for the money that will take, you can buy and build already powerful engines and get better results easier.
