Koni/GC did I assemble these correctly (With pics)
Ok so I got my koni/gc with extended top hats the other day. The included instructions aren't that great and most the other assembly threads are missing many or all the pictures. So like the title says I just want to know I assembled them in the correct order.
If someone is able and wants to use these pics to fix the assembly thread feel free to.
Sleeve, split washer, bumpstop.
Spring, and black top hat.
One flat washer.
Extended GC tophat, bushing sleeve (pressed in the top hat already)
Flat washer, dished washer facing up.
Nut and jam nut.
I spun the collars up once all the nuts were tight.

Things are the proper order except you only need the one washer on the very top. I would stick with the GC flat washer and remove the Koni cupped washer. It's not doing any harm being there though.
Now it also looks like you didn't tighten the top nuts down enough. On mine, they GC bushings were way compressed before the top & bottom washers bottomed out on the metal sleeve inside. That makes the threaded tip of the Koni shock stick way up high out of the double nuts. Tighten the 1st nut down till it all bottoms out and it should look more like this:

Thanks for that. All the threads I saw had both washers up top. I was only using hand wrenches at the time and wanted to be sure order was correct. There's about 4-5 threads out the top with both washers on. I'll try tightening them down more now.
Im jealous. I wanted the red top hats but forgot to specify when ordering and just got the gunmetal ones.

Personally I think the Grey will look better inside the engine bay. I've had that pair in my pic since they first came out. Back then red/maroon was the only color.
