Icon6 SRS Control Module

Greetings all!

My 5-speed 2002 Civic EX sedan has had a bad (code 7-2) SRS contol module for a while now. Giving the car to my newly licensed son and have been taking care of some things that I let slide (this, lower control arms, valve cover gasket, leaking radiator).

Have pulled the SRS control module (not a bad job at all) and need to replace it with a new one. New, of course, is high as giraffe *** but I do want the bags to deploy when needed.

QUESTION 1: there seem to be eleventy-hundred Honda parts houses online. Are any more trustworthy than others?

QUESTION 2: when I install the new control module is it 'plug-and-play" or will it need to be programmed by the dealer?

Service manual says you need to have the OPDS initialized at the dealer. OPDS= Occupant Position Detection System

*Make sure the battery is disconnected before you start installation.

Thanks lazlong. Oh yeah, I disconnected the battery and let the car sit for a day before I pulled the module out.
