Default 2013 Accord Wheels on a 2011 Accord

So, it's my understanding the new accords do not have TPMS, while my 2011 LX does. I'm looking to upgrade my hubcaps to some OEM wheels from a 2013, but they don't have TPMS. I've searched, but didn't really find anything that directly answers my question. I'm about 99% sure I know the answer, but just wanted to double check. I can transfer my TPMS onto the new model wheels right, so it'll work for my Accord? Do i need anything special?

The 2013 Accord comes with an indirect TPMS that doesn’t use tire pressure sensors mounted inside the tires. Instead, it uses the existing VSA wheel speed sensors to monitor and compare tire characteristics while driving.

You would have to transfer the TPMS sensors from the 2011 Accord wheels to the 2013 Accord wheels.

Although not always necessary, it is recommended to replace the washer on the TPMS nut and the grommet on the valve stem.

This is what I thought but I just wanted to be sure. Is it possible to the indirect TPMS on my older accord? Though, wouldn't the downside be if say all the wheels were low it wouldn't notice the error or am I overthinking that?

No, you can't the components and circuitry are different between the 8th and 9th generation Accords; e.g., VSA Modulator-Control Unit, Gauge Control Module, TPMS switch, etc.
