I have a completely stock '02 RSX Type S. I also have a Type R ****. It screws on but doesn't line up properly. Is there an adapter? I've searched for a few and seen a couple pictures of different things but I'm still not sure exactly what's going on. I'm not sure how related it is, but I'd also like to remove the clunky plastic ring/clip from the stock boot as well.

There's 3 of them. They only list the applicable civic years. They say there's one specifically for the leather boot but that one says 2012+ civics. I doubt it's the proper one.

 

I ended up getting this. It was the only thing that specifically said my year.

The **** still doesn't line up correctly though.

 

So my father informed me I could adjust the **** by twisting the adapter. When the **** is tight the loose adapter should be held in place by the ****. And apparently everyone knows this.

My little brother suggested Honda tech. Said I'd have an answer in 24 hours. I understand why he didn't know a simple solution, he's in highschool.
But come on hondatech.
