I have a 99 civic lx. I did a mini me swap on it, I used a 00 d16y8 head and a 98 mani so far everything is complete. For some reason everytime I open the throttle and let go of it sounds like it wants to turn off its turned off on me a several times like that. Sounds like its not getting enough air. What could it be?

Did you clean the IACV?

 

How does it act at idle? Does it idle fine or almost want to die then too?

 

Need to get a CEL SCANNER and some brake cleaner to clean the IACV. It' idles normally at 1k, but when I open the throttle and let go of it the idle drops for a sec and goes back to normal sometimes it would turn off.
