Hello everyone. I just replaced the heater fan in my 1992 accord. When I removed the glovebox I noticed a **** directly behind it. The markings on the **** look like it has something to do with the air conditioner. What is it? Thanks.

 

Any way you could post up a picture.... I don't recall there being a **** behind the glove box. What are the markings?

 

Here is a pic. It is located above the heater. Looks like an old cigarette lighter ****. definitely does something. Thanks.

 

Give'er a pull and see what it does. I have never noticed it there before.

 

I'm guessing it is the thermostat.

When looking at this picture you are seeing the firewall side of the case, the backside(not shown) is the glovebox side, note the two metal straps #13/14.

Some vehicles have these units hidden and should only be adjusted if you are an HVAC specialist. And sometimes they are not adjustable at all but still have a ****.
