90 honda accord window problem?
Hey you guys, I'm new here and pretty new to the older Hondas(I used to own a 98 Acura CL) but it got totaled so I bought a 90 accord. The most annoying problem I ran into with it is all of the passenger windows work and the driver was but now won't, and I know it's electronic, I finally got it to go back up by pushing the button down hard and pushing the clip the wiring goes into harder in, I believe it could be possibly that the clip doesn't want to go all the way in and I see that there is some type of a creamy liquid in it?(maybe a build up or maybe to help conduct more electric currents through it?) anyways I would just like to know if anyone has the same problems and had a simple way to fix it or do I need to buy a new clip and rewire it all or possibly go to the local pay pull and find another window unit? Anyways if anyone has any answers and could help me that'd be cool! Thanks!
If your absolutely sure its not the motor or regulator what I did to resolve my problem poured rubbing alcohol 91 percent I think it was and work the switch back and fourth. Just pour it right down into the switch. Is your window off track or anything?
I figured out the clip that the window wiring goes into that makes the windows work got built up inside the clip and so I got a paper clip and cleaned it out and it's working for now again, it appears that over time that a creamy liquid builds up in it(kinda like batteries being in a toy for so long the battery fluid leakes out) I'm thinkin in the future I may need to buy a new clip and rewire it.
