Default 2008 Odyssey drivers side second row seat will not release

We have a 2008 EX model Odyssey and the drivers side second row seat will not release so it can be removed. The seat folds fine but when I pull the latch in the fron to release the seat it does not work. The two cables are attached to the release lever (as best I can tell). The passenger side seat works fine.

i did search the forum but I was not ble to find a good answer.

The cables are known for breaking. Does it feel like nothing is attached when you pull the grab bar?

Put a large flathead between the latch on the seat and the bar then twist. Replace that wire before you put the seat back.

And also if you have not gotten your fuel pump recall performed then get it done while your seat is out, it's impossible to do with the seat stuck in there.
