Gauge Cluster Bulbs
What type of gauge cluster bulbs are in Integra Type R's? (color, size)
And what type are in GSR's (they are white)
My bulbs are getting dim, which ones to buy to make it look amber just like the Type R?

You can goto the dealer and get the ones for a type R. Then you will have amber lights. But then you wont have matching lights with the other controls.
i love it when people sound so sure about something that they know nothing about. The type r cluster does not get the red/amber color from the bulbs but from the gauges themselves. the bulbs in the r are actually clear/white.
To all those whacked idoits who think the ITR clusters uses Orange bulbs and talk like they ordered orange blubs from a dealer and installed them, YOU DON'T KNOW JACK.. so keep quite.
GS-R are Clear and White with a blue cover that looks like a condom x 3PC.
Reason ITR is orange is because the gauges themselves had a color plate on it.
UNDERSTAND..

same 194 size just diffrent color bulbs
The ITR cluster is a whole different cluster built w/ the amber appearance. It's a 194 bulb, just get a brighter bulb (i.e. piaa)

yes .. it is not the bulbs that makes the amber light ...
THe only color you'll see emmited from the bulb itself will be shown through the mileage counter.

This is your gauge cluster in your GSR? Looks like someone swapped out the old GSR cluster.

yes SMZ812 ... i have the same gauge cluster (JDM DC2)
i don't know if im understanding you right ... are you agreeing w/ me or diagreeing?
My defense: The bulb color is insignificant, the intensity of the bulb is the only concern.

2) Clear bulb (194)
3) You want it amber? Get orange or red bulbs to resemble the Type R cluster...it won't look exactly the same but you will get the same feel.
If you want something brighter, get brighter bulbs.
There are lots of colors you can choose from: red, blue, yellow, white.
I tried amber bulbs. Didn't really like them. Switched to red, and stuck with it ever since.
Here's something so you get the idea.

the bulb color does make a difference in the LS and GSR cluster, you can change the color of that through bulb colors ... example above. as for our dc2s, its not the same.
Easiest way to recognize this ... see the light being shown through the "Mileage Counter"? The picture of you DC2 is a yellowish color, but your gauges are reddish amber. The dude who replaced his bulbs w/ Red bulbs in his LS gauge cluster shine Red through the "mileage counter".

i went out and bought white, red and blue last night and popped them in in a few minutes, i end up sticking with red but they all look good, got them at canadian tire
I had the ITR cluster in my teg, which is nice and all, but don't really care about having a JDM cluster and didn't like the orange/amber glow (from the lens behind the numbers, not the bulb), so I got a stock gsr cluster, but when I installed it noticed they were whitish (not blue like I remembered in my old 94 gsr). so i went on cardomain.com and ordered 2 pairs of red and blue bulbs to see how they will look (will post pics when installed)
