Default 93 Accord Wagon weak spark no start

f22a6
220k miles
Bought the car as a no start from a buddy. Checked spark, it's orange = weak. I read the faq here and went to look for the ground at the t stat housing and noticed it wasn't one on there. I didn't see any loose wires anywhere near the area. Did this model have the ground located there? I know my next step is to check the coil but I have to wait to get the proper tools. Any ideas on the ground wire issue and would it cause the no start? It does crank and sometimes runs for a second or 2 sometimes. Other times it just cranks and tries to start. Like a rumble. Any ideas?

Its likely going to be your coil or your ignitor. I would just replace both with new ones from rockauto. When you say thermostat housing, you mean the one on the passenger side not the front of the car ? Some people mistake the housing at the front of the car for the thermostat housing. It will be at the bottom of the thermostat housing, at the bottom bolt. Normally your car wont start if its not connected.

Ok thanks. I got a brand new Ignition coil from Advance Auto the symptoms are the same. I went over the FAQ here and I need to test the ICM and the timing belt in cased it is off at all. I've seen some threads where people had the same symptoms and the t belt was the problem. And i don't have a multimeter so the best thing I can do tomorrow is check the t belt. Once the wife gets home I can go buy a multi meter if need be. I'll update this post with the results of the t belt inspection.
