So I have the stock engine with 220k miles on it and it was neglected. There are leaks everywhere, transmission is going out, etc etc

Everything in my car is stock.

I am planning on purchasing a JDM Honda Prelude Accord H22A DOHC Vtec Engine.

It also comes with:

(Full engine)
Distributor
Transmission
Wiring Harness
ECU

NOTE: Everything in my car, although stock, is in good condition besides the engine and transmission. Alternator, fuel injectors, starter etc.


I am wondering what process needs to be done in order to get this put into my 1990 Honda Accord LX. And a general estimate of what the labor costs would be.
More specifically I want to know what parts that I already have need to be changed or converted in order for the new engine to run properly.

It is a 2.2L which is the same as the car I already have.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

 

AT/MT through bolt is in a different location. Front and rear mount are the same. Engine mount needs to use Prelude bits, and the PS pump needs a Prelude bracket.
