Default D16y7 confusion here...

I have a bone stock y7 in a 00 civic... If I understand correctly to run a po6 ecu and covert to obd1 all I need is a jumper harness and ecu? Or do I have to get the whole shabang distributor, jumper harness, ecu, and change the intake manifold?

What's the advantage of converting to a obd1 dx ecu? Why not slap a y8 head, intake manifold and ECU in for a 30hp bump?

Bro I got my turbo kit half on I'm just confused on the weird exhaust manifold and the 2 o2 sensors... I'm trying to convert to the ex cat system under the car for easy deq purposes and easy test pipe installation....thanks tho for the assholeness not all of us have slow peices of **** and think mugen chips are gonna give us hp... I'm very much educated on what removing a cat will do for a stock vehicle....

Maybe you should put all that into the first post because I didn't understand why you would want to convert to a obd1 ecu on a d16y7 either.
