Default 02 accord engine swap

I'm trying to build a 400+ HP accord, I practically know nothing about engines, but during the process I'll be learning. What engines will fit and give the most power. Any info about how or what parts to use is highly helpful, I would
Like to a v6 in it oif possible

Do you already have an Accord or are you asking which model to buy to build? And how much money do you have to spend? If you have some coin you could easily have a 400+hp K series 4 or J series 6 cyl setup. If you have no idea about engines though as you say it won't be something you will be able to build yourself though I can pretty much guarantee that. But with enough money anythings possible. Big turbo + built K24 can make big steam but for a heavy chassis like an Accord the TQ of a boosted J32/35/37 would be ideal. You can actually get J swaps pretty cheap. Not any more expensive than buying a decent GSR/H22 swap really. J series 6 speeds are strong trannies too. Honestly the easiest thing to do would be buy a stock J32/35 powered car and boost it, but any of those swaps cAn be performed by a competent shop in just about whatever body chassis you prefer, again if you just have the $$

Its an accord lx I only have about $2000, my buddy keeps telling me to get a k20 but idk if it will fit, but what all do I need to do all around for the most horsepower. I have a cold air and racing headers on the f23a1 engine in it now. Would I be better off getting a rebuild kit and going from their or just swapping the engine.
