Default Auto-X Tires

What's the best auto-x tires to run with Millenia or stock wheels? What brand and size? Anybody know what the National champs have run?

I'm thinking of next season, but want to start planning and shopping in the meantime.

As far as race tires go, I've run (in chronological order from earliest to latest):

F: 205/50/15 V700 R: 205/50/15 V700
F: 225/50/15 V700 R: 205/50/15 V700
F: 225/45/15 AS303 R: 205/50/15 AS303

The setup at the bottom has noticeably more grip than the setup at the top.

The determining factor is how much you're willing to spend on tires each season.

hoosiers will definitely grip better. Reid, did 225's require you to run spacers?

Who makes the AS303? I can't find them on Tire Rack. Hoosier makes an A3S03, but they look like non-DOT legal slicks.

*Interesting note on Tire Rack - sometimes when you don't select which type (defaulting to ALL), their website won't display competition tires.

With the setups using 225s in the front, I use H&R 5mm wheel spacers which I obtained from King Motorsport. They seem to always have these in stock and have prompt delivery.

Hoosier AS303 are DOT legal autocross tires.
