Icon2 95 Honda Civic EX; Wiring issues

Good Evening,

Some issues with my honda. Wiring specifically.
5th or so owner, lots of strange things wrong.

Internal dash lighting does not work (not the instrument cluster), i.e. the lights behind the climate control, so it can be seen @ night. Button lights glow. Whatever lights used to be in the console, ashtray, radio deck area etc, are gone. Clock works.

I was thinking to run a wire to the headlight switch on the steering column, so the auxillary lights come on when I turn on the headlights.

-No wiring diagram, not sure which wire to select for the hot, for new string.
*anyone know?

-any suggestions for a different approach?

#2 One horn button is dead. Can't figure out how to get to it to remove/replace. The one on the left. The most useful one, in my opinion.

-Further concerned that I don't get my face smashed in by the airbag fooling around with the steering wheel. nor am I sure this is a valid concern.

#3 The alarm bing-bong thing doesn't work when I leave the lights on.
Coincidentally, I leave them on all the time. I would find this annoying chime to be helpful in my absent minded life.

-no fuses appear to be burned out, and i don't know where to look for a relay or buzzer block.

your inputs would be appreciated.
Thanks

Get a helms, that'll help you figure out wiring.

Haynes manual, helms manual... Go to AutoZone and it will give you all the layouts of your wiring in the back section as well as how to disassemble many things. Also maintenance. Its a really handy manual in general

Horn buttons are tied together inside the steering wheel. Disconnect battery, wait 90 seconds, Disconnect bagg connector and use red connector block. Remove air bag and check wires as its possible but not likely they have seperated. Anything else wiring related, please find a copy of the helms either on ebay, helminc, or google. Dont waste your time with the haynes as it will only frustrate you and for the 25 you spend on it, you could have spent a little more and know the car in and out. Lastly your car doesnt have a lights on chime. Find DIY by master addition maker Deschlong (most awesome electrical writeups) he has one for the lights on chime if you dont want rickety radioshack crap.

The cluster backlights and climate control lights are on the same circuit and are controlled by the dimmer switch. If the cluster backlights work, then check whether the climate control bulbs are burned out.
