Soooo, I removed my bushings (pics incld)
Took out my old bushings by burning them out then cutting the ring and then chisel hammering them out. I cut into the arm a little bit and marred the chamfered edges when hammering. These are pictures of the areas where I did the most damage. Do you think this will compromise the strength of the arm or negatively effect the installation and operation of the new bushings? Pics are huge, sorry

This is during the process of the worst one. As you can see, alot of ugly chiseling.

1.Go buy some at junkyard or remove yourself at Upick/ecology type place.
2.Give suspension parts and new bushings to machine shop
3.Pay them some money
4.Pick up your freshy-fresh suspension
5.Mask bushings and paint parts with black spraypaint
6.Swap out old junky parts for fancy-*** "new" ones
7.Enjoy newfound confidence and comfort in your car

So far I have the LCA's for the front. Need to pick up another set of integra LCA for the rear being I have two of the same car.
I'll do the refresh on one. Take the parts I swap and do it again for the 2nd car. Then I get to decide if I keep the old parts or recycle as I shouldn't have to do this again for 15-20 years if I go either OEM or Hardrace bushings.

Are you saying, I shouldn't have removed them myself? Either way it's done and I was just wondering if the arms were still good.
I was thinking of having the parts powder coated before I have a shop install bushings but you think that's too much?
Also, while we're on the topic of suspension, I'm trying to collect parts for this rebuild and will get as much oem as I can and probably go moog with whatever I can't get Oem. I've been reading moog quality has dropped. Anyone else had this experience?
I was gonna do ES bushings but Tomcat make a convincing argument against this decision and so I'll look for oem as much as possible.

As for powder coating, the one issue you will have is the powder coat is quite likely going to go into the area the bushing is pressed in which will change the size tolerances and can impede the pressing of the new bushing.
What the other poster stated that I agreed with and am doing myself is the best practice scenario. You've already started your path which someone else has confirmed has worked for them and so probably should for you.
As for Moog, what I've gathered is that it's hit or miss with them as they don't manufacture the parts, they are a reseller and so who they source the parts from changes, therefore quality changes as the Quality Assurance levels change from manufacturer to manufacturer. They rebox someone else's parts and label them Moog.
For bushings your best bet is OEM (stealership or online OEM parts dealer like Majestic) or Hardrace hard rubber bushings.

I know he was saying it worked for him I just wanted to hear it from more than one person so I have a concensus.
I don't want to waste money so I'll steer away from moog. Sounds like a gamble. I found sankei 555 ball joints on autopartsway.com I think they were about $36.
In any case, I have my answer regarding the condition of the parts which should conclude this thread. Thank you guys for your valuable input.

I have been buying and installing Moog parts for over 40 years, I started even before that helping my Dad before i was a teen ager. I cannot ever remember a Moog part failing or had to be replaced. While it is true I do not know where all their stuff is made today and by what sub contractor, if any, I would not think twice cause it is a Moog part. i DO inspect any and all parts regardless of manufacture prior to install for defects, problems.
People have gotten the wrong part, went and bought the right part, put the wrong part back in the box and took it back. I have then been resold that incorrect part....in the correct Moog box.......but that was just a scummy person. REAL car guys do not intend tally rip off other car guys.
You have a lot of bigger issues to sweat about, to Moog or not to Moog is small potatoes.....IMHO..
