Hello HT people,

I will do my best to not make this resemble an online dating profile.

I'm a DC/Northern Virginia transplant from Washington State. Just picked up a Civic because my Xterra was killing me slowly with it's asinine 17MPG. I picked up a 98 HX Coupe, which is my third Civic overall (92 Civic Si, 2000 Civic HX, 1998 Civic HX). I've hung out on the fringe of the Civic "scene" for the past 8 years, because, let's be honest, Honda enthusiasts have had a bad rap for basically as long as there have been Honda enthusiasts (I'm here to make friends!).

I've been playing with cars my entire life. I will always be a Nissan/Datsun guy at heart since my first love was a '72 Datsun 240Z. However, I'm drawn to Honda's because of their simplicity. I challenge anyone to find a simpler car to wrench on, and if I'm honest they are a lot of fun to drive.

Hopefully I will be able to add something to Honda-Tech, but I'm really just using this as one of my mandatory 2 first posts. I will probably mostly just lurk in the background and watch the rest of you from a distance, like some sort of a weird forum wall-flower/voyeurist.
