I am repairing the front end of a 94 accord that was in a collision. The engine keeps surging when the car is idling. Its as though someone was pushing the accelerator and letting off,pushing it down and letting off. It just keeps repeating this. The first maybe 30-45 seconds after starting the engine runs normal then starts the surging. What could be causing this?

 

Internal air control valve?

 

I will check that. I guess before I post a question on here I should look around for the obvious. I imagine it probably is a sensor or something that was damaged in the accident.
