My oil dipstick will not comeout of the tube
my 1999 honda accord's dipstick for the oil seems to be jammed in the tube or something.. i just got the car and just discoverd this earlier, the little handle has been previously broken and there is just a straight lil rod coming out of the tube, i cant get the dipstick to come out or anything,,, does anybody maybe have an explination on this issue??? please help

Pull it harder!
On the 93 Accord, there is a bolt at the bottom of the tube, so you can unbolt the tube and remove it. Look and see if there is a bolt holding the dipstick tube on. If there is, remove it and that would probably help you get the dipstiq out.

If the orange handle is gone, get a pair of pliers to give you more grip and pull the dipstick out. You may have to wiggle it a little to get the rubber seal on the dipstick to release.
I noticed that the dipstick would rotate within the tube, I had got a pair of vise grips but didnt pull all that hard cause I didnt want to break anything... So maybe try to wiggle and pull at same time..thanks
2.3? Look where the lower timing belt cover and upper timing cover meet, there will be a a bolt for the cover/dipstick. It can be hard to see in car as the brackets from the PS can block the view.
