when i first start my car up that i am driving. When my RPM's go over 3500 they start to bounce all over the place, i know i am doing 4000RPM but it's bouncing from 5000 to 5500 back to 4000 then 4200.... what could be the cause of this, and is it gonna get worse? i heard it as simple as new distroboter.. but will this go away, or is it very seious that i need to get it looked at?

 

Weird story, but mine did that after my alternator died, and i was running low on battery juice on the freeway on my way home. Check the ignitor maybe? I think its probably some wire insulation that got worn out... or maybe water in the connectors?

 

Make sure the connectors on the igniter are clean and tight.

 

it fixes itself after a couple of min ( i guess after the car has been warmed up ). It's erking me because it shouldnt do that, i just put on new brakes and had to do a whole new T'belt job and new seal reatainer seals and all... so i am pissed because all that money would could have gone to something better (h22a)...

 

id guess you have a bad wire or connection to the igniter... or could be a faulty guage who knows.

better check the igniter though, when she gets jumpy like that failure isnt too far off normally.

i found what the ignitor looks like so just replace this and no more wacky tach!??

Did you check the connections?

 

i think that maybe due to the fact that its rained for a good minute hit any hard puddles of water maybe the wires got soaked . my **** turnes colors and when i got it back from inspection my **** redlined and i was at a complete stop on the highway,so i pulled the connector turned off the car counted for 20 seconds and it went back to normal.
