so I got my car painted and had to take it back to fix some sht that they didn't do right
and instead of repainting the whole panel they just been patching up the spots where they missed stuff.
im thinking its gonna show up in a year or two where they repainted the spots and buffed it.
am I right to be concerned?

It depends on how they prep the paint... If you can still hassle and make them redo it so much the better. You paid them right then make the most out of it man.
If the portion that has been spot painted was on corners then its safer i would say. Visibilty wise. But if we are talking about doors, hood, and alike. Then its obviously very visible at single glance.

If they're just spot blending over the stuff they missed then I would be concerned. Those blends usually dont' last too long, especially when the sun starts to beat on them. It really depends on what you paid for your paint job, if you went to a budget shop (less than 1000$) then I wouldn't be surprised if they take the cheapest, fastest, easiest way out.
