Reason I'm asking is because the car has a longer, European slot for license plate, while my is fitted to US plate.

 

Yes it will mount up... however, like you mentioned the license plate recess on the EDM/JDM CD Accords is a bit larger so the cut out on the wing will not line up with the USDM plate recess. There have been a few people do it and modify the US trunk trim or bought the JDM trim and modified it to fit the USDM trunk.

Would a 94-95 spoiler fit tho? I know it doesn't have the little lips that go around the licence plate

You don't need a JDM trunk lid, just the trim piece that goes over the license plate. Or you can modify/customize the spoiler with fiberglass to fit the smaller trim piece.

This spoiler will physically fit both the 95/94 & 96/97 USDM CD. however to get the license plate opening and tail light opening to match the trunk lid you have, it will require some modification.

Or like you said, you could buy this and also spend the money on a 96/97 EDM trunk lid.

Or you could buy the repro. flush mount that doesn't come down that far!

Well, I did it. I will wrap it in 3M 1080 carbon fiber print to hide my shitty job haha.

spray painted it black until the vinyl comes in. Will also mount it probably next week! ordered a red honda badge too.

I lost my chrome licence plate trim too! I took the screws off and forgot to put them back, so the thing fell off while I was driving somewhere lol
