Assembling my engine... And neither the sohc zc or the d15b2 Crankshaft gear( goes behind the crank pulley) fit onto the crank shaft. They're too big

Do I need to get a d15b7 crankshaft gear and crank pulley?

 

all 88 and some 89 D-series engines have a crankshaft with a 22mm diameter front snout, where the pulleys go on - most 89 and all 90 and up engines have the larger 24mm diameter snout - you need the pulleys from an 88 if your front snout is 22mm diameter
