Default iacv f23

okay i just switch from the f22 to the f23a motor. I switch the intake manifold off the old f22 on to the new f23A. do i still have to block off the Iacv. since i have the old f22 intake manifold on my f23a motor? when i start my car it idles like a mf!!!!!!

What years are the F22 and F23? A little bit more information about the swap would help!

I would say that you could probably have a vacuum leak between the F22 intake manifold and the F23 head. Or you could have a couple of the sensor connectors mixed up.

the f22 was a 95 and the f23a was 98

VTEC or non (F22B1 or F22B2)?

Some of these engines have a system that injects air directly into the fuel injector ports, it's called the fuel injection air control system (FIA). If the intake gaskets and intake manifolds don't match they can cause vacuum leaks. kif you have the intake manifold that is equipped with the FIA ports and the gasket and cylinder head don't or vice versa.... it will cause a leak.
