Default what brand and color powder coat for OEM look

like the topic says i have played around with the powder coater and oven at work and have not had any luck with a color that properly resembles the oem silver (metal)
thinking about powder coating random parts like bolts heads and transmission mayby even the block.

can any one recommend a color and company

I had my trans case powder coated a silver color to appear as factory aluminum or close to it. Turned out awesome. Than my powder coater went out of business before I got the block to him, and never told me the brand aand color of my transmission. So I went to another local shop who confirmed they could match it. Well let's say 5 weeks later and 200 bucks it wasn't even close. Guy told me it was one shade off. I'll post a pic and let you decide lol. I tried uploading the pic with the block but it's not working at the moment. Here's one of just the transmission. Be sure if you do it to clear powder it as well.

here is the picture of the block next too the transmission. im going to try a new powder coater for my new sleeved block i have. i might actually opt to have a local paint shop color match a paint to my already powder coated transmission so i can just paint my block/head. i was a little concerned that my new block is fresh aebs sleeves, and i think they use a sealant/adhesive in the bottom, which im not sure if the heat from powder coating will compromise. soo the color match paint route is looking better at the moment. who knows. i know this doesnt answer your question directly for a brand and color name, but just wanted to post my experience trying to do the same thing your doing.
