I really need some help identifying this plug. I was thinking maybe it's for the IACV but looking through tons of photos I can't seem to get a definite answer. I replaced my VSS the other day because my check engine light was on, the shifting doesn't seem very smooth, and the speed gauge still isn't showing my speed. I looked over the car multiple times and noticed this detached/cut wire which leads up

from the VSS. I have a 92 Honda civic.

Thanks! One more thing, the wires on the bad plug are green and black. Does it matter if the replacement has red and black wiring?

 

No. Wire color is just for convenience to help identify plugs and circuits.
