Default New from New Zealand

Hey all,

Probably should have signed up years ago! Nonetheless, here now. My name is Alex I'm from New Zealand and I run a company called Moonlight Racing. The business primarily imports aftermarket items from Japan and USA into NZ and we deal alot with Yahoo Japan and UP Garage (can help you get bits to USA as well if required including container and large items). Anyway, not here to go on about that!

I guess I need the required two posts and a few days before I can get my account unlocked and post build threads. How about some of my Honda history..

This was my first car when I was still in school. EG ETi it's called here. 1.5L VTEC-e. Not sure if you have it in USA but wow the fuel economy was amazing. Ghetto'd it out as you do being first car etc.

After that I picked up an EG6 (still in school at this time) and hooned around in that for a while which was awesome and my first taste of proper VTEC. Sadly insurance was far too expensive for someone working at the supermarket so sold it. I still have the PIAA fog lights and the plate though!

So next (I think) I had this Odyssey. It was an RA2 which meant **** engine F22 but AWD. This caused a bit of a problem with the drive shaft basically crushing the exhaust by the time I was finished with it. I had big plans for this van, actually ended up getting a big wide body kit and all the works from a dealer who was selling it cheap but never installed it. The van developed a slip in the gearbox so I decided to sell it quickly before it became worse.

I THINK this was the car I bought after I sold the Odyssey, I can't remember exactly. I could've got this while I still had the Ody but can't recall exactly.. I wish I never sold this car now.. probably the only car I regret selling. Started life as an EG4 VTi D15 SOHC VTEC but previous owner, or someone up the line, had put B18CR Type R engine inside and gearbox, upgraded the brakes etc. It was quick! Most of what you see in the picture is previous owner but we did end up rebuilding the engine to factory spec before I got over it at the time and sold it.

Before I sold it I picked up a BMW E39 540i which was super lush (you can see the side of it below actually), and somewhere in the middle a GX71 Cressida as well which ended up the AT cooler cracked and oil leaking into the radiator and it all went horribly wrong. Also had a 180SX as well in the middle.

Aaaanyway shortly before selling BMW I picked up this EF9. This is a car for me and my dad to work on together and get him out on the track and having a bit of fun.

This EF9 I still have and did some work on today in fact, prompting me to sign up to H-T. Once my account is unlocked will have a full build thread on this.

Once I sold the BMW I picked up a 2GS Lexus GS300 to work on VIP style in NZ as there isn't really much going on. We now have a bit of a following but this is Honda-Tech.. Honda's only right?

Luckily, I picked up this about 6 months ago..

It's a genuine E-AT DOHC Si Civic. In bright green, as you can see. This image shows with no windscreen but since this image I've got it road legal and cruising again. Also build thread once account is unlocked.

So that gets us up to date so far.. looking forward to seeing what else we can find on H-T

A simple link like that isn't too intrusive to cause much concern. If it becomes an issue, we'll make sure to notify you.
